Carter V Finally Released By Lil Wayne

The fifth installment of Weezy’s Tha Carter series is finally being released. It’s been a long, roller coaster of a ride for Wayne in the six years it took to get this project to the public. The iconic album’s release was first announced in 2012, and has since experienced a number of drastic hiccups along the way. From Martin Shkreli’s acquiring the only copy of the album, only to be arrested and forced to give it up by the feds.

Then you have Wayne’s huge falling out with Birdman and Cash Money, fast forward to an aptly timed reconciling of sorts between the two parties. Even add in last week the world waited on edge for the album to drop, only for Wayne to announce that there had been a misunderstanding and he never promised Tha Carter V on that date.

The album is said to have a posthumous feature from XXXtentacion, and is reported that Post Malone was added to the album just hours before the scheduled release. Through all the hoopla, the hype still remains around the elusive project. I’m actually waiting now for the second time to see what happens….Time’s ticking Wayne! (8:58pm PST September 27)….it’s here! After breaking Spotify for a second, the album finally appeared, time to jump in!
