Kanye Apologizes to Drake on Twitter
Right before summer hit things got seriously messy between OVO leader Drake and GOOD Music front man Kanye West. But a few hours ago (Sept. 5th), Kanye does his best to publicly apologize to Drake, and seems to hope to mend the relationship, although Yeezy is no stranger to publicity stunts. The tension stems from speculation that Kanye is the culprit who revealed crucial information to Pusha T regarding Drake’s, then under the radar, son with French model/porn star Sophie Brussaux, giving Pusha T the ammo he needed to decimate Drake on ‘Story of Adidon’. Drake had been developing a relationship with Kanye and had even been present at the Wyoming writing camps for GOOD music and their latest series of releases, and is credited as a writer on ‘Ye’.
However Drake chose the high road and did not respond to the diss by Pusha, but sources claim the diss Drake had ready would have been very damaging and personal for Kanye, his family, and his career.
Early this morning Kanye released a series of tweets aimed at settling things between himself and Drake. He states that he never mentioned his child to Pusha T, learning from past situations with Wiz Khalifa. He also apologizes for releasing the GOOD series of albums close to the Scorpion release date. He mentions ‘Lift Yourself’ was to be a Drake collab, had he not released it prematurely, before finally saying he’ll be coming to one of Drake’s tour stops within the next week to enjoy the show. Let’s hope the two can come together, get over the petty beef, and give the world some amazing music before it’s too late.
